Can someone inform me of the story? I'm a bit confused.

Um, well, the main story is kinda complex, so I'll just give you the basics.

The BZPower Battles Universe was created by the Architect millennia ago. It is a multiverse; which is a universe made up of lots of different universes. The BZPB multiverse contains planets and characters from virtually every science-fiction created by man as well as countless other galaxies and planets not explored yet.

The main characters which we control come from all different planets. Blackout (controlled by BBC) is the main villain in BZPB, who wishes to take over the multiverse. However, he isn't the only villain, as there is still a lot of unrest in the multiverse!

I've heard of the Architect before.

Yeah, he created the multiverse.

To add, every user of the game has his own Admin figure. Basically, the Architect is BBC, and his assistants are MakutaYnot (Ynot) and MakutaKlak (yours truly), and anyone else who wants to join.
