    Oops!

Looks like it might not be a good idea to post those topics about Poland's crazy right-wingers and the separation of church and state anymore.....

    Razz

"Extreme right-wingers"=/= Conservatives. It's like me going around saying that you're a communist.

Still, you might want to keep the whole 'separation of church and state' debate OUT of these forums, or sparks will fly.

And there lies my dilemma, Klak: I want to breathe new life into the Off-topic forum with some interesting political debate, but I don't want to cause a flame war.

The answer, I believe, lies in close moderation: the topic is allowed to run its course, but the moment flame wars start happening, stamp on 'em.

    Hm?

    Klak doesn't live in Europe.

It sounds okay, but get Shroom to approve it first, or we'll have to spend 60 days in the Bomb Shelter like the last time you thought things should be different.

Just a note, I'm relatively centre right. I want seperation between church and state, otherwise we can't impose western democracy on religious governments in other countries... *cough* most of the Middle-East.

Same here. But not a wall too big that morality has no say, and that government brings religion (usually Christianity, at least on my side of the pond), to its knees.

Yeah, basically the same here. Morality should have a say, but it shouldn't be like in Poland where most politicians are basically afraid to propose anything that deviates from the Catholic Church party line.
